Faced with increasing risk of natural disasters from hurricanes, tornados, wildfires, and earthquakes, as well as terrorist attacks, Government agencies and businesses worldwide are actively procuring wireless communications solutions to augment available services or re-establish communications where service has failed. In these adverse situations First Responders and Emergency Personnel need a rapid reinstatement of their communications capability, ideally on the very numbers and handheld devices they communicate with everyday. Altobridge provide just that, the ability to reinstate your standard wireless communications service to your existing devices, no matter what is the status of the local networks. Your service may be down as a result of a power outage, it may be congested as a result of the upsurge in usage (typical in disaster situations) or it may have been taken out altogether, regardless of the situation, Altobridge will have you back in minutes.
Altobridge's Remote Contiguous Communications (RCC) Unit is a fully portable suitcase solution that combines standard cellular and standard satellite technologies ensuring that emergency resources can be back in communication on their standard devices e.g. cellphones and PDA's. Multiple satellite alternatives provide maximum flexibility for connection to the core wireless network. To insure system responsiveness in a time of crisis, access can be restricted to authorised users only e.g. specific individuals conducting rescue operations. Since this access is managed locally at RCC Unit itself, access to additional subscribers can be easily added at the disaster location. Altobridge's solution can also provide for secure voice and data services if required.
In a disaster/emergency situation, whenever it occurs, the Altobridge RCC provides the means to quickly and reliably re-establish communications between First Responders, Government Agencies, rescue teams, emergency resources, corporations and their key employees wherever they may be.
