As a result of several years of focused, pioneering R&D, Altobridge has made two major award-winning technological breakthroughs in the wireless infrastructure field:

Local Connectivity enables local calls to be switched locally (local switching), removing the cost of this traffic being backhauled needlessly across the network. The Split Architecture enables the most cost-effective use of satellite bandwidth of any such system available. Both technologies cut backhaul costs between base station sites and successful deployments in wireless telecommunications networks have taken place and are ongoing in the following markets: Remote Community / Enterprise, Aeronautical, Maritime and Secure and Emergency / First Responder.
